“ Their 7 Plate Is My Favorite Affordable But Filling And Delicious, Comes With 1 Side and 1 Entree, Sounds Small But Man They Hook It Tf Up Too The Point They Even Are Having A Hard Time Closing The Tray! I Always Get Fried Rice As My Side (I Literally Crave The Rice Everyday As If I'm Pregnant) And Orange Chicken For The Entree FIRE! ”
Ashley Joy Abrahamson“ Saigon Vietnam Deli is a little store in a strip mall a few blocks up from the center of the International District. Parking here can be a pain since it shares parking with other businesses, plus there's a lot of trash in the parking lot. Inside it's just a counter and some refrigerators, so nowhere to sit. They have a massive menu, in both English and Vietnamese, so it's easy to choose from. The prices are insanely low for what you get, Bahn Mi for under 7 and it tastes delicious. They make their food in front of you which is great. Super friendly people that work here too, we've been coming here for years now and will keep coming back. ”
Matt Perrone“ I usually go here after work to get food cause its inexpensive and quick grab if I don't wanna cook at home, they have variety of foods there for you to choose and they have option food that you choose fried rice, steamed rice, or noodles and then you choose two sides with it. For that meal I paid 11.04 which already included tax but you can also pay cash to save that tax too. Its a common place so don't have high expectations (I like this place cause for me it was good) ”
Khoa Đỗ“ Nice hole in the wall places for some authentic Vietnamese food. Got the #1 banh mi and it was great! The bread was nicely toasted and they did made sure there was enough meat and pate/mayo on the sandwich. ”
Charlie Te“ Overall Thoughts: This takeout only spot in Seattle’s Little Saigon is small but quite chaotic with workers buzzing around you and a busy line usually forming around lunch. For 6, the banh mis are very solid and hit the spot; the bread is fresh and flakey. They also have a large selection of packaged foods and hot lunch boxes, which all looked delicious. The service is quick and efficient with no frills. They accept both card and cash. Food I tried: - Roasted pork belly banh mi (4.5/5): The pork belly was really fatty, but flavorful and delicious. The ratios of bread to pork to veggies were good. - Three kinds of ham banh mi (4.4/5): The pate was creamy and the cold cuts were tasty; this is a classic that you can’t go wrong with. - Banh cuon - prepackaged (4.4/5): Tasted good; its soft and delicate texture paired nicely with the crispy shallot toppings and delicious sauce. — Price (relative to peers): 4.6/5 Food: 4.4/5 Ambience: N/A Service: 4.5/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5 ”
Mona“ I fondly remember Saigon Vietnam Deli from when I was in grad school and had a great banh mi from Saigon all those years ago. It was great to be able to visit again and have a great banh mi and this time added on a mango smoothie bubble tea. This is strictly a takeout place since you walk in the door, there are refrigerators with drinks and other food and then the counter where you order. The board above has the choices which are fairly numerous. Was terrific as always! ”
Millie Kwan“ My husband got soup, #50, chicken pho. The broth was beef, so I didn't try it, but he loved it. I got vermicelli with chicken, #26 and it was FANTASTIC! The egg rool was nice and crispy, and it was loaded with chicken and veggies. They have a lot of sauces and chili paste to add. I forgot to take a photo before I completely wrecked it! And to finish it off, we were served a puff pastry with vanilla filling. Mwa!!! Chef's kiss, will definitely be back! ”
Jenny G“ The banh mi I got at Saigon Vietnam Deli was pretty good. I visited on a Thursday morning after 9am and there was no wait. The menu was extensive and the metal tables were full of saran-wrapped Vietnamese foods. The warming trays looked really good and fresh. I believe the rice with two sides is about 6 as of writing. Overall, the prices are comparable to other delis in the area. The banh mi prices actually increased to 4 starting June 15th which puts them in line with what I've seen elsewhere. I ended up ordering the roast pork banh mi but unfortunately got a BBQ pork banh mi. It was disappointing but I don't hold it against them. The BBQ pork was tasty and warm - I believe it was heated up in a microwave. The baguette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as well and the daikon and carrots added a nice acid balance. I would definitely return but I would get a meal from the warming trays because the offerings looked really good. EDIT: I visited Saigon Vietnam Deli again for a hot meal and was impressed. For 6 it’s a great deal. The hot food was really fresh at 9am and the flavors were great. I ended up going with eggplant tofu and the pork meatballs in red sauce. The eggplant was cooked to have some slightly crispy pieces but I appreciated the vibrant purple that was on some of the pieces. The tofu was really tasty as well. The pork meatballs were as good as I’ve had with a good flavor in the sauce and the meatballs had a good consistency. I would visit here for a great meal. ”
